For over 50 years, Reflections Art Program has helped students across our nation explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning.

Reflections is a program in which students submit an original creation inspired by the annual Reflections theme. The 2026-2027 Reflections theme is:
"WHAT MY CULTURE MEANS TO ME”. Students will be judged on their submissions based by grade division. Winners will be selected to be judged at the School District level, and State level thereafter. 
 
All student submissions will be placed physically up at our school for everyone to view. All submissions will receive a participation certificate. Winning submissions will receive ribbons.

  •   Literature
  •   Photography
  •   Visual Arts
     
(Accessible Arts division is an optional participation pathway for students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA Section 504)
 
de Portola students are invited to submit in grade-based divisions:
  • Primary (TK - Grade 2)
  • Intermediate (Grades 3-5)
  • Middle School (Grades 6-8)
