Welcome to the de Portola Elementary PTA Website!
Visit as often as you like to see everything your PTA has to offer. On our website, you can see upcoming calendar events, buy PTA Memberships, donate to our fundraisers, sign up to volunteer, birthday book club, spirit wear, and much, much more.
Let's get started by following the steps below to register to Membership Toolkit:
- Update Family Information and select your Directory/Publish Preferences(you are able to choose your own preferences).
- Select the PTA Volunteer Opportunities that you would be interested in getting involved.
- Lastly, you will be presented with the New Forms Packet. Make sure to fill out the PTA Student Waiver, purchase your PTA Membership and your Fall Pledge Donation, you can also purchase your spirit wear, year book and Adopt a-book, and /or register for other PTA sponsored programs as well.
It's easy to make all of your purchases by using a debit card, credit card or check.
Why join the PTA? Only PTA members are able to vote on how the PTA spends their funds and how to support the school. PTA membership does not obligate you to volunteer or attend monthly meetings. Your participation, however, is welcome and we want to hear your voice!
Our PTA supports student enrichment, educational programs, community building events, parent education, teacher appreciation, school upgrades and so much more!
If I join do I have to...
- Go to meetings?
You don't have to attend our monthly PTA meetings, but we'd love to have you! PTA gives you a voting voice when you want to weigh in on how the PTA operates and spends the funds raised. - Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
Nope! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required.
With your 2024-2025 PTA membership:
- You will partner with the principal, teachers, and staff to make your child's school safe, welcoming, a great place of learning, and a fun place to be.
- You will help make sure parents and family members voices are heard when important decisions are made that affect de Portola. This includes advocacy for students who receive special education and who are English learners.
- Through meetings, you will get to connect with other parents, and become part of California State PTA and National PTA, the largest and most powerful children’s advocacy organization in the country. (Note: You DO NOT have to volunteer or attend meetings, though we’d be happy to have you!)
- Our kids and their teachers still get access to the educational online software they know and love
- PTA will provide opportunities for engagement and connection, including the Reflections art program, online book fairs, health week, PBIS, Jog-A-Thon, the opportunity to purchase spirit wear, maintenance of our disaster preparedness materials, parent education, and staff appreciation.
